Diane von Fürstenberg
American designer Diane von Fürstenberg launched her career in the 1970s, and quickly established herself as a major player on the international fashion scene. 
Among her other achievements, she is the creator of the iconic wrap dress.  Her intuition for elegant trends and feminine must-haves catapulted her to the heights of the fashion world, where she remains as a passionate designer and president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.  
Though she received a Lifetime Achievement from the Council in 2005,  Belgian-born von Fürstenberg is still one-to-watch; her New York Fashion Week runway shows and retail collections continue to delight, influence, and fly off the shelves.
